As the title suggests, a quick little roundup of some of my favorite clothes from this week.
Cotton Racing Jacket. I am in love with this jacket. When I first saw it on Mango, I stopped scrolling and send it to my fiancé. He was shocked that I loved it so much because truthfully it felt outside of my typical taste, but something about the styling in this photo just spoke to me. It feels right. I want it.
COS Swing Crossbody. This is something I have actually wanted for a while, and I thought I was going to bite the bullet and buy it this month, but forgot my student loan payments have resumed, so maybe next month. I also really want it in the sold-out chocolate brown color, so I’ll be keeping tabs to see if that color way restocks any time soon.
The Perfect Wide Leg Jean. I was dubious at first, but they really do live up to their name. They have the perfect amount of puddling for my 5’4” frame, and I enjoy the slight stretch which is surprising as an adamant rigid denim girlie. They are the perfect jeans for when you want a super wide leg that’s still somewhat fitted in the butt and waist area. I often find jeans to be too uncomfortable for the workday given the hours of sitting required, but I wear these to work all the time with zero complaints. They’re as comfortable as ever.
Chan Luu Amelia Dress. Chan Luu just released their Spring RTW ‘24 collection, and it is simply gorgeous. The Amelia dress and Rebecca Cardigan were my favorites, although it’s tough to choose because really I just want everything. My style has been more menswear-oriented lately, and I find that the floaty, casual sweetness of these pieces create a nice balance between the masculine and feminine aspects of my wardrobe.
Shaina Mote Saatchi Sweater. I have been curious about this sweater for a long time, and I’m glad I finally got to try it out. Shaina kindly gifted me one in the color Bronze, which is a really lovely and rich green-ish brown. I particularly love that it’s 100% cotton, as wool is sort of unwearable in Southern California.
Adidas Handball Spezial. I told myself for a long time that since I already bought a pair of Sambas last year, I didn’t need any of the candy-colored offerings Adidas has been serving up lately; however, after I came across these, I simply wasn’t strong enough. I have a weakness for green (and suede, and Adidas) so I really didn’t stand a chance against these.
Adidas Track Pants. And speaking of Adidas… I also got a pair of these wide-leg track pants which I’ve been wearing constantly with chic sweaters and ballet flats. The mix of feminine, sporty, and tailored is just too good, I’m excited to get a few pairs of the track shorts to wear all summer long with button downs and minimal sandals.
You can find my shelves on ShopMy, where I aggregate all of my favorites for each season. Because I’m an anxious person, I’ve already started to think about summer (it’s my least favorite season to dress for, to be quite frank) and will share my favorites for heatwave season soon.
